My name is Wheeler Ray Hayes. I was born on May 11, 2004, to Randy Allen Hayes and Sabrena Dawn Vick. I lived in Whitesboro, TX, but most of my time was spent in Sherman, TX, either attending school or participating in various extracurriculars. I attended Texoma Christian School, or TCS, which is a K-12 academy, and I graduated from there in 2022. On top of my academics, I was also involved in various sports such as baseball and the powerlifting team. Around my sophomore year, I was inducted into the National Honor Society. As far as extracurriculars go I was mainly a member of my Boy Scout Troop XV or 15 and later on was inducted into the scouting honor society the Order of the Arrow (OA). Currently, I have attained the highest ranks in both organizations which is Eagle Scout for scouting and the rank of Vigil for the OA. Aside from all that I was and still am an active member in my church Legacy Bible Church.
I am currently a Junior at the University of North Texas and am enrolled in the College of Engineering. Speciffically within the department of Computer Science and Engineering. My current major is a Bachelor of Arts in Information Technology with a specialization in AI in Networking and Security. As it stands I have no plans to change my major before my expected graduation semester in the Spring of 2026. On top of my degree I will be earning two certificates, the first being in AI and the second in Networking and Security. Through this degree I have earned a plethorea of technical computer skills and more general managment skills.
Below I will briefly list out most of my profesional skills:
Over the years I have garnered quite a wide range of hobbies. One of the first that I developed was playing videogames. While I can't attest to any real skill I still quite enjoy playing games in my downtime. Fairly recently a hobby I have gotten into is assembling model kits such as Gundam and Star Wars kits. I have no real preference for the type of model kit as long as it looks appealing to me. This has lead to a great interest in building and painting tabletop war game miniatures, primarily Warhammer 40K. On top of these I am also working to develop skills with various musical instruments. That is a rough overview of my hobbies and should I develop anymore I will update this section.
As far as futere plans I am working towards graduation and from there I plan to acquire a stable job that would provide a decent income to support myself and any potenial dependents in the future.
